Short
help on usage of the ProSAT
2
visualisation
tool :
Java version >=1.5 must be
installed and
enabled (on browsers). If you want to be able to open web-links
related to annotations, enable pop-ups.
The main window (and the first to
appear) is the tool to select
annotations. It presents the
possibility to select annotations according to the groups in the
left-hand side of the window. The selected
annotations are listed in the "Selection:" column, and they will all be
sent to
WebMol for 3D visualisation.
Use left-mouse_click on group names
in the
tables to select and
Ctrl-left_mouse_click to de-select.
The main window gives the following
possibilities:
"Add New UserSelection"
button - to define
new groups,
"Remove UserSelection"
button - to remove user defined
groups,
to select the groups
according to which the visualisations will be sorted,
to select the pdb file to show
annotations on,
"Show in 3D" button - to
open annotated pdb file in a new WebMol window,
"Update in 3D" button
- to refresh existing WebMol
visualization windows.
The UserSelection can be created by selecting (with
left-mouse_click)
annotations in the "Selection:" table and clicking on the "Add New
UserSelection" button.
The possibility to save the
UserSelection will be provided upon closing of the selection window: -
cut and paste
the content of the window with annotations into your local xml file for
further use.
Once WebMol has been opened, residues can be
selected for highlighting by clicking on the corresponding buttons. A repeated click is
needed when the
All_Atom representation in Webmol is switched to another
representation, to obtain proper
highlighting for this representation.
Use of the Right/Middle mouse button
when the mouse is on the residue
highlighting
buttons will give a pull-down menu allowing
additional text information to be displayed and allowing the color of
the highlighted
residue and corresponding button to be changed.
